Kilspindie Golf Club, The Clubhouse, Aberlady, EH32 0QD.Tel: 01875 870358. Reputed to be the 35th oldest golf club in the world, lies “hidden among the nature reserve of Aberlady Bay, the quaint village of Aberlady and the teaming waters of the Firth of Forth.”
Longniddry Golf Club, Links Road, EH32 0NL. Tel: 01875 852141. Opened in 1921 on the south shore of the Firth of Forth. Offers a traditional test of golf over a unique combination of links and woodland with many holes having spectacular views to Edinburgh, beyond the Forth Bridges and across the Firth.
Luffness New Golf Club, Aberlady, EH32 0QA. Tel: 01620 843336. Founded in 1894. Designed by Old Tom Morris, offers challenging and enjoyable golf in a historic setting.
Muirfield, The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers Duncur Road, Muirfield, Gullane, EH31 2EG. Tel: 01620 842123. Classic links course. Hosted 16 Open Championships to date. Golf was first played here in 1891 on 18-holes laid out by Old Tom Morris.
Musselburgh Links, Stables Pavilion, Balcarres Road, EH21 7SR. Tel (Starter’s Office): 0131 653 5122. The world’s oldest golf course hosted the Open on six occasions between 1874 and 1889.
The Musselburgh Golf Club, Monktonhall, EH21 6SA. Tel: 0131 665 2005. Golf began at Monktonhall in 1938. Many major tournaments have been held on the course over the years.
